Interview

General Ed Daly, Commander of Army Materiel Command talks discusses that innovation is no longer an idea, it is a necessity. Leading 190,000 soldiers requires thinking outside the box. Great leaders embrace change, innovation, and creativity. They don’t micromanage, they give intent, purpose, direction and motivation. And then let their subordinates be innovative about how they go about doing business, give autonomy, and then reward individual actions that demonstrate creativity and innovation when accomplishing the mission. At the end of the day innovation is contagious and will allow an organization to thrive in the long term
